In yesterday’s tip, I mentioned a situation in which you will need to import a track from one Live Set into another. This is done via the browser. If you locate a Set in the browser, you’ll notice that it can be opened as if it were a folder:
Opening a Set reveals all of it’s tracks and opening a track will reveal all of it’s Session view clips. Notice that track 5-Shaker doesn’t have a triangle next to it – this means that it only has clips in the Arrangment view (or possible none in either).
To import tracks between Sets, first open the Set you want to import the track into. Then, use the browser locate the track you want to import and drag it into the current set. It doesn’t matter if you drag it into the Session or the Arrangement – either way, you’ll get all of the clips in that track.
