EDIT GROUPS

Did you know that you can edit the clips inside Group tracks from the Group track itself? This is a feature that’s easy to miss because earlier versions of Live 8 (prior to 8.1, I think) didn’t work this way.

Group tracks display colored bars to represent the Clips within:

Selecting any portion of these bars automatically selects the same region of time for the tracks inside the Group:

Once you’ve made a selection, you can use editing commands like Duplicate, Copy, Delete, etc. to modify the clips in the grouped tracks whether or not the group is unfolded.

If this doesn’t work for you, it’s time to update your copy of Live!
